Las normas cambian según la zona y pueden cambiar a mitad de temporada. Explicamos qué significan las normas y siempre te enlazamos a la fuente oficial: nunca copiamos una tabla de límites y decimos que está actualizada.
Licencias: qué necesitas
- • Sport fishing requires a licence from INPESCA; on Lakes Nicaragua and Xolotlán the lodges and guides normally arrange visitor paperwork.
- • Freshwater rules protect the great-lake fisheries with closed seasons for key species — the guapote (rainbow bass) fishery is managed with local closures that guides track closely.
Cómo se organizan las normas
- • One national institute covers the Caribbean, Pacific and the great lakes; lake fisheries are co-managed with local municipalities and fishing cooperatives.
- • The Rio San Juan (the lake's outlet to the Caribbean) is a special fishery — tarpon and snook there are fished catch-and-release by lodge custom and local agreement.
Conviene saber: errores frecuentes
- • Lake Nicaragua fishing is lodge-based: your operator's licence arrangements and house rules are the rulebook you will actually fish under.
- • Expect rules to be communicated through guides rather than posted signage; ask explicitly about what may be kept.
