Saltwater · Spring through autumn in tidal pools; active on the ebb
Giant Goby
Acanthogobius hasta
The big spear-snouted goby of west-coast tidal pools — 풀망둑. A genuine tidal-flat specialty: as the tide falls it gathers in the pools and channels, and anglers target it with tiny hooks while the water drains. Aggressive, bold and big for a goby. One of the truly local fisheries of the west coast.
