Gudgeon

Gobio gobio

A tiny, bottom-hugging river fish that hugs clean gravel runs β€” once a famous table fish in England and France and today a delight on the finest tackle. Gudgeon rarely make headlines for size, but a gravel run full of them is the sign of a healthy river and perfect fishing for beginners and children.
