Quillback

Carpiodes cyprinus

The quillback is a deep-bodied, silver sucker-family fish of Saskatchewan and Manitoba rivers and lakes, recognisable by its tall sail-like dorsal fin. It is a harmless bottom feeder often misreported as a giant goldfish or carp, and a fun light-tackle catch.
