Freshwater Β· Late spring to autumn in stocked reservoirs and legal pay ponds; most active in warm water from May to October
Yellowcheek
Elopichthys bambusa
The apex river predator of the Yangtze, Pearl and Min systems and the ultimate prize of China's lure anglers. The Yangtze's natural waters are under the 10-year fishing ban, so all legal sport fishing happens in stocked reservoirs and pay ponds outside the banned waters.
