How to catch them
ε°ι dough-bait float fishing Lake
Rig: Fine float rig with two small hooks, flavoured dough balls on a prepared baited spot, fished on or just off the bottom
Bait/lure: Commercial tilapia dough baits, earthworm pieces
Key tip: Feed the spot little and often; tilapia bites are a small lift or dip of the float β strike at the first clear movement.
Nest-sight fishing Lake
Rig: Light spinning or pole outfit with a tiny hook and small dough ball or worm, presented into nest pits in warm shallows
Bait/lure: Small dough balls, earthworm pieces
Key tip: In spring, drop the bait into the pale round nest pits; the guarding male usually takes within moments.
